Reprographics Technician

Reprographics Technician Information Pack
Broad Description
- Manage the cost effective production of materials and documents for the whole school
- Manage two Cost Centres – Reprographics Recharges and Admin Copy Charges
- Manage, co-ordinate and ensure the high quality, customer focused presentation of school information and publicity for internal and external audiences; weekly parental bulletin, press adverts, graphics for social media posts
- Provide administrative support for the teaching staff, to assist in a wide range of school activities/events
- Manage the stock levels of all school administrative and reprographics stationary resources annual costs
- Organise celebration certificates
- Support resources required for the annual student celebration event
- Support the creation and maintenance of high quality displays around the school site
- Maintain the school website; refreshers, photographs, information updates as specified by SLT
- Coordinate social media accounts and school branding
- Collate school policies for staff in conjunction with the Clerk to the FGB

Cover Manager

Cover Manager Information Pack
Broad Description
- To manage the day-to-day cover for absent time-tabled staff to ensure that students attain in line with Academy targets.
- The purpose of this role is to ensure that all classes are adequately covered during periods of planned and unplanned absence. The post holder will ensure a logical and effective deployment of cover supervisors and the occasional use of teachers’ non-contact time. Where essential the post holder will ‘buy in’ cover.
- The post holder will monitor the quality of cover lessons, reporting back any concerns.
- The post holder will supply a half-termly return on staff absence and those lessons covered.
- The post holder will be responsible for supporting the organisation of events and trips on the forward planner for the academic year in order that learning can continue to take place as effectively as possible.
- Knowledge of Brom Com as an MIS is desirable but not essential.

Teacher of Physical Education - Information Pack
PE Department
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a well-qualified, enthusiastic and talented teacher to join the Physical Education team at Alcester Academy. It is an exciting time to join the department as it continues to evolve in a subject area that is extremely popular amongst students at the school. The successful candidate will be expected to teach a broad and varied PE curriculum across KS3 and KS4 and contribute to the range of sporting activities that our students experience outside of the classroom during lunchtimes and after school. It is expected that the successful candidate will make a significant contribution to the school’s extra-curricular offer and continue to work alongside the Head of PE to provide further opportunities for House Sport.
Student Leadership is a key priority within the subject area and the successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the opportunities offered to our school’s Sports Leaders. Curriculum PE at KS3 is taught in mixed gender groups set by ability, following a baseline assessment of student performance carried out in Autumn term. Students who opt for Sport as an option in KS4 currently go on to study on the OCR Cambridge National (Sport Studies) course. Experience of teaching this qualification is desirable although not essential for the successful candidate.

The role is suited to either experienced teacher looking for a new challenge or an ECT eager to begin their teaching career at a supportive and ambitious school.
